Departs daily from Rainbow Beach at 7-8am and leaves the island at 4:30-5:00pm
Itinerary
Travel from Rainbow Beach to Inskip point where you join a Fraser Explorer barge to cross to Fraser Island.
Drive along famous Seventy-Five Mile Beach to Eurong Beach Resort for morning tea.
Follow the sand tracks through forests of scribbly gum and hugh satinay, brush box and kauri trees to Central Station.
Walk through the rainforest along the banks of Wanggoolba Creek to see the rare king ferns.
See the giant satinays in Pile Valley. Fraser Island satinay was a prized marine timber used to line the banks of the Suez Canal and build London dockyards.
Swim in the crystal clear waters of Lake Mckenzie or take a walk along the shore.
After an action-packed morning, relax and enjoy a hot and cold buffet lunch at Eurong Beach Resort where the restaurant overlooks a huge, free-form pool. There is time for a walk on the beach and some souvenir shopping before heading home.
