Camping on Fraser Island is either at Cathedral Beach which is a privately run campground, or at one of the Queensland National Park sites or along the beach. These last to options require a Fraser Island National Park Camping permit, (call 131304 for information).
No Fraser Island accommodation except from Kingfisher Bay Resort is connected to mains power so except for the resort no air-conditioning is available. However as nearly all these accommodations are situated along the ocean beach they do get nice cool breezes nearly year round.
